"He who is not satisfied with a little is not satisfied with a lot"
This saying refers to the fact that we should be happy with what we have and not think that if we had more we'd be happier.

"As long as you have the blessing of your parents, it doesn't matter even if you live in the mountains"
Greeks also believe that a curse by a parent, specifically the mother is extremely dangerous.

"The rich man with his money and riches, and the poor man with his family "
This saying basicallymeans that all the money in the world cannot buy you love and happiness and although one may think that rich people have it all - they might not have something as rich as a family.

"My first wedding makes me feel proud in front of people "
This saying pretty much means that you should be proud of your first marriage as in Greek culture, multiple weddings are often times frowned upon.

"If you are honest you will have as much gold as you want "
Truth is a virtue and as long as you live your life honesty and respectfully, you will succeed in the end.

"The rabbits eye is different from the owl's "
Refers to the fact, that although we may all be created equally, what you see in one persons eyes' you may not necessarily see in another. It also refers to what one person sees, the other may not see precisely the same thing.

"Help yourself so that the Almighty can help you "
According to legend, this saying is about 15 centauries old and was apparently said by the great general Belisarius who served under the Byzantine emperor Justinninan. This saying refers to the fact that you cannot expect God to help you if you do nothing to help yourself.

"If you don't have brains, you will follow the same route twice "

"Either dance well or quite the ballroom"
Much like the common saying, "go all out or don't go out at all" and means that whatever you do, do it well to the best of your ability or you may as well not even bother.

"Act quickly, think slowly "
Means that you should be quick to react but never quick to jump into any situation without thinking it through and making sure you have given it enough thought, so that you can be at ease with yourself later and knowing that it was not a rush decision.
